Our Mission

Our mission is to provide childcare for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years, in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment. This environment encourages students to explore, experiment, discover, play, and interact, while developing their own personal understanding of the world and themselves. Our experienced staff act as positive role models for our attending students and community. We offer a child-centered, multicultural learning environment, where each student is treated as an individual with diverse needs and interests that are to be respected and supported through developmentally appropriate practices. We realize the importance of a multi-sensory approach for young learners that enables them to plan, create, build, organize, and make personal discoveries. Play is significant in our program because it is how students learn to express themselves, take turns, share, imitate, and exchange ideas and knowledge with others. Our students have various play opportunities daily. We foster a strong sense of self and aid our students in establishing healthy social relations with peers as well as adults.

Philosophy

At Blossoming Minds Early Childhood Family Center, we believe in the value of human diversity and fair treatment of all people. It is our number one goal to provide the kind of influence that encourages all students to become creative, independent, responsible, self- directed adults who can make sound decisions for themselves. It is also important for a student to have experiences by themselves, with other students, and adults, in a safe, positive, and accepting atmosphere. This will create space and opportunity for the students to be able to explore the limits of their environment and their natural abilities. Our program encompasses the belief that parents are vital to each student’s success. We support a maximum amount of continuity between home and school. We provide parent resources and information to address their needs. We strive to meet the needs of each individual student social, physical, intellectual, creative, and emotional (S.P.I.C.E) growth. Our belief is that students deserve a nurturing, safe, and happy environment, which promotes their natural curiosity and desire to learn. Students are encouraged to assist in daily class tasks, so they develop a positive self-image. All students are welcome regardless of race, creed, national origin, gender, or abilities.

Statement of Goals

At Blossoming Minds Child Early Childhood Family Center, we provide convenient, dependable, educational services for the students and the community. We provide a safe, nurturing environment with a stimulating, hands-on approach to learning. Our qualified, caring staff act as positive role models and help prepare the students for success in kindergarten and later years. A developmentally appropriate curriculum is implemented using the framework of the “Creative Curriculum” for our Infants/Nursery, Toddlers, 3-K, and U-Pre- Kindergarten/Preschool students. This promotes their social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development. Each student is encouraged and given opportunities throughout the daily schedule to choose and control his/her own activities under the supervision of our teachers/caregivers. Through this support, each student can establish decision-making skills and a sense of responsibility for self and their own actions. Our policy of positive communication and positive discipline reinforces self-worth and confidence. Our teacher’s/caregiver’s/staff members role is to invite, challenge, and promote knowledge. Continuous staff training serves to keep our educators well informed and aids in the implementation of our goals. We strongly encourage parent participation and communication through parent-teacher meetings. We realize that the key to students’ success in childcare/daycare is the positive connection that is developed between parents and teachers/caregivers/staff members.

Welcome to Blossoming Minds Early Childhood Family Center LLC! This program was created to provide families with exceptional childcare for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years old.
We are delighted that you are interested in Blossoming Minds Early Childhood Family Center for your family childcare needs. After you stop by and take a tour, we encourage you to further discuss your family’s childcare needs with us. We understand your desire to choose the best daycare for your child, and we want to make sure you are supported on this journey.
At Blossoming Minds Early Childhood Family Center, we use The Creative Curriculum which includes developmentally appropriate goals and objectives for children within four main categories of interest: social/emotional, physical, cognitive and language. The social/emotional stage helps promote independence, self-confidence and self-control. Our Best Practices Approach and play-based philosophy incorporate themes and learning styles within a developmentally appropriate environment where learning is exploratory and fun; with child choice time as well as teacher directed small and large group activities where children interact with peers and adults.
Our experienced and certified early childhood staff challenge children by exposing them to information about the world they live in. Through careful observation, teachers adjust the curriculum to meet your child’s developmental needs. Professional, dedicated teachers encourage each child to be confident of one’s abilities and sensitive to the needs of others. Creative expression is encouraged through developmentally appropriate play and classroom activities. With commitment and affection, we develop a love for learning and the desire to become life-long achievers. Most of all, we want your child to have fun and to become a well-rounded individual who is interested in new discoveries.

Parents/Guardians Reviews

I am really happy with our experience at this daycare! The environment is always clean and well-organized, which gives me peace of mind every day. I’ve noticed a big improvement in my child’s learning and writing skills since joining, and it’s clear that the teachers put real effort into helping each child grow. Also, I love that I don’t have to worry about feeding, as they make sure the children eat well and are taken care of throughout the day. Overall, it is a wonderful learning space for children to learn, play, and thrive!

I love this daycare with all my heart; I will give it a definite 10/10. The daycare is welcoming, spacious and very safe for all age groups of children. The staff are all so nice and friendly, always respectful and most important of all Ms. Christopher, who operates the daycare, is an angel on earth. She takes great care of my baby boy and showers him with so much love and affection. It’s very affordable and you get great service way more than you paid for.

This is a Wonderful Daycare!! Mr. Nequan the owner, and Ms. Christopher who runs the daycare; they both treat all the children so good; plus Ms. Christopher is a retired teacher, so she teaches the children every day. Both Mr. Nequan and Ms. Chrisopher interaction with the children is great! The day care both inside and outside (onsite playground/play space) is so clean. Blossoming Minds Early Childhood Family Center ensures all children always feel loved while getting the attention they need 10/10. I highly recommend this group family day care
